14 yo daughter got me good with this one tonight... While I was making dinner, I was using a couple of bags of frozen veggies (a bag of peas and a bag of sliced carrots) and being that they're small, I only cut little triangles on the corners of the bags and poured them into the pot. Upon seeing me do this, my kid says "oh so you're cheating tonight?!" Trying to defend myself I quickly responded "Well I use frozen veggies from time to time because they're still good for you!" She looked at me with her chin down and eyes up and coldly said "uh yeah, but you're cutting corners doing that." I've never been so proud.
