Eight Silly Monkeys My three year old son wanted me to read him a story for his nap and picked "Eight Silly Monkeys" from the bookshelf. We go through the book, counting the monkeys on each page and singing the words. We get to the end of the book and I ask him if he learned anything from the book hoping he'd repeat his numbers. He says yeah, and starts jumping on the bed. I blurt out, "It's supposed to be a cautionary tale; not an instruction manual." He giggled.
