Hamster joke - out of nowhere! (More of a kid joke, I suppose) Our youngest has been obsessed with hamsters since before she could talk. Anything and everything hamsters. She also likes to make up jokes that make zero sense, but we all laugh along to stoke and encourage her creativity anyway, like most parents would. One night about a month ago I was putting her to sleep, and after reading what seemed like 200 books, she finally calmed down and closed her eyes. I thought she was asleep when all of a sudden she pops her head up and says "Dad, I have a joke for you. Why did the hamster go to the bar? ...TO GET A BEER!" I laughed my ass off and then she put her head down and BOOM, lights out. We still don't know where she heard about bars and beer. I quit drinking long before she was born, and mom drinks wine (yes, likely to put up with Dad...) and neither of us go to a bar or even talk about bars. At least it was fairly harmless... still confusing, however. Just thought I'd share!
