I dad joked a family on a delivery, and got dad joked in return! .... and it was glorious! For context, I'm a delivery driver for Papa Johns. The other day, I was on a delivery, and when I pulled up, 2 boys come running up, hoping to get the pizza quicker. I asked if they had the money, and saw boy A, Alex, go crestfallen. Their mother was walking out the door with cash in hand, so I led the boys to her. As she counted the money, I told the boys a joke. Me: What do you call it when a sleepy dad delivers pizza? Alex: idk Me: Papa Yawns pizza! Mother chuckles. Boy B, Brad: do you want to hear a joke? Me: what's that? Brad: why did the can crusher quit his job? Me: I've heard this one! Because it was soda pressing! Mother: cockles harder and gives me a good tip! Me, as I walk away: your kids get an A! It was glorious!
