There was once a Knight of Medieval Times who suffered short term memory loss. He even forgot his own name, and had no end of trouble. Until one day, when as if by a miracle, a travelling physician helped him learn the names of his courtesans, maidens and squires, two of whom were named Geoffrey and Humphrey. The Knight was doing so well at remembering names that he took a census of the land and recorded the names of all the people within his borders. Soon he became known in all the lands as the most intelligent ruler. One day, when the esteemed Knight was out hunting with Geoffrey and Humphrey, his horse tripped on a fallen tree and he fell off, hit his head, and lost his memory again. He looked up at Geoffrey and said: 'We're back to Squire-One!'
